This design was one of the first to incorporate the modern luggage boot replacing the luggage rack. This created an opportunity to take the whole roof off and this was used to full advantage. The result was a sun saloon with the folding roof being capable of sliding back completely over the rear window.

The kit is based on the KD Super luxury coach introduced in 1936 which was produced by Duple in conjunction with Orange Luxury Coaches. Initially the spare wheel was fitted to the off side but this was short lived and has not been modelled.

Many coach operators of the time both large and small operated WTB`s on tours, private hire and coastal relief work.
