BMMO Midland Red

To supplement its own vehicle production, Midland
Red purchased 100 Leopard PSU 3/4 single deckers in 1962/3 and they were the first
vehicles purchased from an outside manufacturer for 40 years. The bodywork was to B.E.T.
Federation style. |

The bodies were supplied by two manufacturers, Weymann and Willowbrook. Weymann

From 1966 the bus versions were converted to one man
operated and the DP's from 1970 being converted to B53F in 1971. Withdrawal commenced in 1975 but took several years.
Several B.E.T. operators had similar
vehicles and examples could be found in the fleets of P.M.T. Western Welsh, Hebble,
County, East Yorkshire, Crosville, Maidstone & District and kit BET 1 is based on a
standard vehicle and BET 2 on a Yorkshire Traction version.

- Glazing and printed windscreen
