In 1950 the certificate of fitness expired on buses with the wartime utility bodies.

As the chassis', mostly Guy Arab II and Daimler, were still sound many operators had them refurbished and new bodies fitted.

Roe rebodied over 200 through the period from 1950-53, the result being virtually a new bus such was the reliability of the Guy and Daimler chassis.

The kit is a re-issue but has been adapted for platform doors to accommodate the Devon General version. Front quarter lights have also been added which may be easily removed if required. Side opening windows also varied between operators and the appropriate ones can be removed in a similar fashion.
