In 1951 East Kent received the balance of its order for 80 Guy Arab III`s. (FFN 360-99) They had fundamental differences from the previous batch which made them quite distinct. They highbridge versions with 8ft wide bodies and had many similarities to the London Transport RTW with four bay lower deck layout with a raked front and upright back. With the Gardner 6LW engine they were very reliable vehicles. |

The need for further new buses in 1953 included 30 more Guy
Arabs, (GFN 909-37).
This time they were MK IV version again with Park Royal highbridge bodywork. The most noticeable difference was the re-styled front with a `tin front` instead of the traditional Guy radiator. The `Indian Chief` was retained in the design. |
