A front entrance was incorporated the inclusion of a curved waist-rail and a seating capacity was 31. Extensive use of polished aluminium  meant that the main colour was Tilling cream and the secondary colour was confined to the wings and a thin strip along the skirt. A total of 38 were built and these were succeeded by a 30` x 8` LWL `Queen Mary` version. This longer coach body generally seated 35 with a few 37 exceptions.

The curved-waist was similar to the `L` but the front was modified with the radiator concealed behind a decorative grille. It was designed for the Bristol LWL chassis though a few were on the 7`6`` wide LL chassis and a few instances of re-bodying. An interesting one being LWL 995 of Newbury & District which was on a 1947 Leyland Tiger PS1 with exposed radiator. Even more interesting were the supply of 13 Daimler CVD 6 chassis from Walter Alexander for `Queen Mary` bodies. These were almost identical to the Bristols.
