| The Bristol/ECW LWL bus was introduced in 1951 following an increase in
length and width for PSV`s. Initially
the Bristol `L` was lengthened to 30` and designated `LL` closely followed by 8` wide
versions as LWL`s. Several operators had the LWL body on 7`6" chassis. An extra row
of seats increased the seating capacity to 39.
The changes took place quickly and
reference to photographs are needed to confirm a particular model. Quick reference for 8`
wide bodies are a 3 part destination box and a divided rear window.
