Bristol L Coach / ECWNote! To
be re-issued shortly. |
|
A big departure from ECW practice since the war appeared in 1950. This was
the Bristol `L` coach body which had a curved waist. They were built to the standard
dimensions of the time of 27`0" x 7`6", the PV2 radiator was retained and
blended in well with the full front design. A front entrance was incorporated and the
seating capacity was 31.
Extensive use of polished aluminium colour
meant that the main colour was Tilling cream and the secondary colour was confined to the
wings and a thin strip along the skirt. A total of 38 were built being succeeded by the
30` x 8` LWL `Queen Mary`due to a change in regulations.
