EK65 AEC Reliance 590 / Park Royal 36` coach

The third batch of ten AEC Reliance 590 Park Royal bodied 36` coaches were delivered to East Kent in 1964. They had air-operated doors and were the first to have forced-air ventilation. The largest batch of 26 followed in 1965, plus a further delivery in 1966.

Six of the final batch received Skyways livery and some survived to be painted in National dual-purpose livery of poppy red and white.
