36' Dual-Purpose Coach |
|
In 1962 Willowbrook produced some 36' bus bodies to B.E.T. standard with
dual purpose coach seats. The kit is
based on the Yorkshire Traction version who purchased 6 vehicles mainly for use on
Motorway Express services. They had flat screens and were fitted with 47 coach seats and
classified as dual purpose vehicles. They were unusual in having twin destination boxes
beneath the screens and reduced twin leaf doors.
Livery followed the Willowbrook styling and
was YTC red and cream which varied in proportion through their lives in some cases being
reversed (Reference to photographs is required for full details).
Similar vehicles were also operated by East
Yorkshire.
