When Albion withdrew the Victor from the market, its place was taken by
the Nimbus. The Guernsey Motors and
Railway Companies bought thirty two examples of two chassis types between 1960 and 1965
(Guernsey Motors No's 80 - 98, Guernsey Railway No's 63 - 75).
All had Reading bodies.

Railway in 1973, at the same time those buses with fleet numbers which clashed were
re-numbered by adding 100 as shown in brackets above.

All buses returning to St Peter Port
carried their route No. and destination Town or Town via St Sampson's.
Guernsey Railway also operated Island
Tours, Morning Drive, School Bus and Football Match services. The whole Nimbus fleet
except 86 was acquired by Guernseybus in 1981 (31 buses in all) No's 88, 92, 94, 95,
96,97, 98, 167, 174, 174, were repainted in all over white with black wheels. No's 80, 89,
90, 165, 166, 170, 171, 172, 173, were operated in the old liveries. The rest were not
used. 87 became a racing car transporter. 169 was used as a waiting room, 167 was
renumbered 93 and retained for transporting baggage from the airport.
