Following on from the Sydney pre war half cab produced two years ago, this offering is a Motor Body Assemblers (M.B.A.) body based on a White chasis.

The selected prototype has a 43 seat 2 door bus body with a length of 32' 6" by 8' wide. This bodybuilder was owned by the American company White Trucks Pty, with head office in Sydney and branches in Brisbane and Melbourne.

The majority of bodies were therefore built on White chassis, but others such as AEC, Leyland and Foden were available. It was fairly common too, in the early post war years to extend these chassis from the standard wheelbase of 17' 6" to 20' 6" and beyond depending on regulations.

The kit is based on the standard White chassis of 20' 6" wheelbase giving an overall length
of 32' 6"

They operated throughout Australia and were used on local services, schools and some as coaches without a rear door.

As the bodies were "handmade", no two were completely identical, but all were simillar and distinctive from other bodybuilders.
